Gallery - October 2022

Thank you so much to all those who came to our Harvest Coffee Morning earlier today. We hope you enjoyed it!!

We love to Boogie and we love to Bounce. Always a pleasure to welcome the lovely Sarah Beyond Fitness with Sarah to Skelton School. What a fab morning we have had ☺️☺️☺️

Earlier this week, the Library Van visited Skelton School. We love our visits - each class can go on board the bus to select new library books for their classrooms and have a story-time too. Here are the Reception and KS1 children enjoying their time on the bus.

When life gives you rain, jump in muddy puddles! Our Nursery and Reception children enjoyed jumping in the puddles on Friday after the torrential rain had disappeared. Look at the fantastic splashing!

On Friday afternoons, the Reception and KS1 children enjoy working together and learning about the different seasons. We have been enjoying our Autumn work so far and enjoyed an Autumn walk to look for signs of the season. We found a variety of different coloured leaves, berries, pine cones and acorns. We ticked the things we saw on our checklists.

We've had a great day here at Skipton Castle, we've learnt so much about life in mediaeval times and what it was like to live as a Lord, a Lady or a servant. We are currently trying hard not to terrorise the other train passengers with our bows and arrows 😂😂

We have had an amazing day at the Lake District Animal Park. We have seen meerkats, zebras, eagles, tapirs, piglets, goats, snakes, porcupines, gibbons, red pandas, wildebeest, cranes, cervils and more. When we saw the flamingos we all stood on one leg to do our best impressions of them. We also really enjoyed our workshop all about animal classification. We ended our day with a play in the soft play centre and are now heading home tired but happy ☺️

We have had THE most amazing time on our Year 5/6 residential visit to Liverpool last week. We visited Anfield, the Maritime Museum, the Museum of Liverpool, Chinatown, the Walker Art Gallery, the World Museum, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Beatles Story and the Anglican Cathedral. We also did an open-top bus tour, had a meal in Chinatown and went ten-pin bowling. We have so many happy memories that will stay with us forever.
