Last week was National Curriculum test week for our Year 6 children. Whilst we worked hard every morning, we had lots of fun each afternoon. Along with the other Key Stage 2 children, we took part in house sports in rounders, netball, rugby and football. For our house cross country, it was wonderful to be joined by the Key Stage 1 and Reception children too. When we weren’t playing a sport, we could choose indoor activities including table tennis, chess and embroidery. We’ve had a great week!
Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside, I do like to be beside the sea !!! We’ve had an amazing day at Silloth and Allonby today as part of our studies on Seaside Holidays. We enjoyed walking round Silloth and thinking what holidays would have been like in Victorian times before having a chippy lunch. In the afternoon, we got our buckets and spades out and built sandcastles on Allonby beach before having a delicious ice cream and heading back to school.
We love our bingo sessions at After School Club and tonight we celebrated the King’s Coronation with lots of Union Jack themed prizes. Apologies to those parents whose children won a hooter - you are in for a noisy evening 😂
