It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Our Reception children have done an amazing job of putting our Christmas tree up and have delivered Santa's post boxes to all of the classrooms ready for all the children to post their cards 🎄🎄🎄

We've had a great time at the Eden Tri Golf Festival this morning. We played really well as part of a team and improved our skills and techniques with each new challenge. Thank you to Julie from our wonderful Eden Valley Sports Partnership for organising the event and to the lovely ladies and gentlemen from Penrith Golf Club for helping us. 🏌️🎖️🏆🌟

As part of our learning about what a balanced and healthy diet looks like, we are making a fruit salad for some of our friends in Reception. We worked in pairs to design and then create a fruit salad with a specific person in mind. We then discussed what they liked and disliked about the product we created ☺️The Reception children have had a lovely afternoon tasting the fruit salads that the Key Stage 1 children made for them - they were delicious!! 🍓🍎🍍🍌🥭🍊

Well done to all of our wonderful children and families - today we have raised £226.67 for Children in Need. Thank you to all of those who donated cakes - they were delicious! We have had a lovely day in our pyjamas and hope we have helped a very worthwhile cause ❤️

This afternoon we have welcomed Orian Solutions and Pioneer Foodservice to our Reception and KS1 class. The children have been learning all about healthy eating and, this afternoon, have learnt even more about various fruits and vegetables. The highlight of the visit was that we were all able to have a go on the Smoothie Bike and we made our very own smoothies - they were delicious!!

In Science this week, Year 5/6 were learning about the impact of air resistance as part of their forces topic. We worked together to make model parachutes with 4 different surface areas. We dropped them from a height and timed how long it took for the parachute to reach the ground. We came to the conclusion that the larger the parachute the slower it took because it experienced more air resistance.

We are having an absolutely fantastic morning studying for our 'Transport' topic. We have seen buses, trains, fork lift trucks and fire engines. Thank you to Alba Travel , Carlisle East Fire Station and Pioneer Foodservice for helping us today ☺️At the end of our visit, we sang Happy Birthday to a very special little boy 🎉
