We had a great time at the Eden Sportshall Athletics competition on Friday. We worked really well as a team and encouraged our team mates in all of their events. Apologies for the poor quality of the photos ~ the children were running too fast!! 😂🏅
Year 5 and 6 have been loving their orienteering sessions so far this term. We have been using our map reading skills to follow a set route around the school grounds. We love our new orienteering equipment which helps us check if we completed the course in the correct order and how long it took to complete it. We can’t wait to see if we can beat our time next week!
We’ve had a great time at After School Club tonight celebrating Chinese New Year. We’ve been eating Chinese food, making lanterns, learning which animal we are based on the year of our birth and then constructing the Great Wall of China from Lego, duplo and mega blocks
We had a wonderful afternoon yesterday when Tullie House visited us for a Chinese New Year assembly. We learnt to sing a Chinese New Year song and we really loved seeing the Chinese dragon.
How proud are we of these amazing children who ran today in the Cumbria Cross Country County Championships. They ran in freezing conditions on a very demanding course, starting and finishing with big smiles on their faces. Congratulations to you all 🏅
Year 5/6 were VERY excited yesterday to start the Cumbria Library Service Spellbinding reading challenge. We can’t wait to start reading the 11 fantastic books from the shortlist!
