Gallery - April 2023

We have loved taking part in Cumbria Library Service's Spellbinding 2023. The children have loved reading the Spellbinding books and have really enjoyed the range of different genres in the selection. It’s really further developed a love of reading in our class and it’s been lovely to hear the children recommending the different books to their friends after they’ve read them. They also love collecting the stickers for the booklet too! Our favourite three books are 1. The Last Bear 2. The Great Dream Robbery 3. Escape Room

Yesterday afternoon, Year 5/6 completed their final play leaders sessions. During the sessions, we have been working on our leadership, clear communication and our confidence working with different people. To put our skills in to practice, we invited the Reception and Year 1/2 children to join us! We had the best time in the sunshine! The Year 5/6s were absolutely brilliant role models to the younger children and explained each game clearly so the younger children understood; they adapted the games when they needed to and made sure that everyone was included and having fun! We think that is very clear from the photos 😊

We are very proud of our Year 3, 4 and 5 children who have taken part in Bikeability training this week with the wonderful Kate and Vickie of Cyclewise. Our Year 3 and 4 children all successfully gained the Level 1 award whilst the Year 5 children all passed the Level 2. Well done to you all and special thanks to Kate and Vickie. Enjoy cycling and stay safe!

What a glorious day it was down at Frenchfields for an afternoon of tag rugby. Thanks as always go to our wonderful Eden Valley Sports Partnership for organising such an amazing festival. Children, we are so proud of you as you played well, displayed fantastic teamwork and took great care of each other through out the afternoon!
