We are having a very spooky day here at SKELETON SCHOOL!! Don't we look scary ☠️🕸️🕷️🎃

We love getting out and about to represent our school at a whole range of wonderful sports events organised by our Eden Valley Sports Partnership - here we are having a great time at the Sportshall Athletics competition!

We are really looking forward to welcoming you all to our Harvest Coffee Morning tomorrow! We will be entertaining you with songs and will have stalls selling Fair Trade products, shopping bags, cakes and APPLE CRUMBLE!! Our Reception and Key Stage 1 children had a lovely afternoon making the apple crumbles yesterday - don't they look scrumptious!!

Here we are at the Eden Valley Sports Partnership inter-school football tournament at Frenchfields. We have had a great afternoon and are playing really well as a team. So far we have won two matches and lost one and are just about to play our final match now - wish us luck!!

We had a wonderful day at the New Lanark World Heritage site and learned so much about the Industrial Revolution, life in Victorian times and our current topic, Materials. In our Toys from the Past workshop, we compared the materials used to make toys in the Victorian times with those used today. We also had great fun learning to play games from a bygone age.

Our Key Stage 2 children are having a wonderfully historic day learning all about the Vikings and Tudors!

We have so many apples on our apple trees at school this year so our Reception and KS1 children decided they would love to make (and eat!) some apple crumble. It was delicious! 🍏🍏🍏

In Science, Year 5 and 6 have been learning all about Space and the Solar System. This afternoon, we used Oreos to model the Moon’s orbit and the phases of the Moon that we see from Earth. It was an added bonus that we got to eat the models afterwards too!
