Three teams of children from Years 3 and 4 took part in the Eden Tennis Tournament at Penrith Tennis Club. All teams played brilliantly well and one of our teams actually won the whole event. This means that they have now qualified to represent the Eden area at the Cumbria Games in July. Well done!

Miss Swainson from Ullswater Community College came to Skelton to do a half-day workshop with our Year 5 and 6 children. The theme was 'recycled fashion'. The children all planned the outfits that they were going to make and the afternoon culminated in a fashion show.

National Curriculum Test Week was held in mid-May - for a bit of light relief every day, we hold our House Sport Competitions every afternoon that week. Blencathra, Carrock and Pennine all compete for trophies in netball, football, rugby, rounders, cricket and cross country. Here are the Year 6 children with their respective trophies. Well done to everybody that took part - we had an amazing week of sport

In early May, we welcomed Josh from the Football Academy to come to After School Club to coach our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children. They had a fantastic time and learnt lots of new skills. Thank you Josh, we can't wait to have you back again next year!

Two teams of children took part in the Eden Dodgeball Tournament which was held at QEGS in mid-May. A very competitive afternoon of sport was enjoyed by all - we love playing dodgeball at Skelton - it is fast becoming our favourite game and we loved taking part in the tournament against other local schools!
