On the last day of term, we were getting in to the Easter spirit in the Year 1/2 class - here we are using Mini eggs to help us solve some tricky maths problems 😊
We have had the BEST three days at Robinwood on our residential. We'll just let these photos speak for themselves!!
We are super proud of our Year 1/2 and Year 3/4 gymnasts who took part in the County final of the Key Steps Gymnastics competition this morning. Against some very tough competition, both teams made it to the winners' podium with the Key Step 1 team achieving bronze medals and the Key Step 2 team achieving silver! Well done to you all, you are all AMAZING!!
After a two-year Covid-imposed break, Skelton 7s was back. What an amazing afternoon of football and netball we have had at Skelton and Plumpton Schools. The eventual winners of the football tournament were Kirkoswald School with Stainton being runners-up. The netball winners were Skelton School, lifting the trophy for the sixth successive year, with Plumpton School as runners-up. Many thanks to our umpires for the day and to all of the wonderful children who took part from the following schools - Armathwaite, Greystoke, Kirkoswald, Lazonby, Patterdale, Penruddock, Plumpton, Stainton and Skelton.
What a beautiful sunny day it is here in the Lake District for our visit to Beatrix Potter's House. We have really enjoyed learning about her life and discovering the parts of her house that are featured in her illustrations. We tried to find Peter Rabbit in the garden but he must have been chased away by Mr McGregor! Next, we went to Brockhole where we had time for a play on the adventure playground and lunch before taking part in a Mountain Skills workshop. We have learnt how to read a map (and make our own nature maps) and we have packed rucksacks for a mountain adventure. We are heading home now, tired and happy 😊
We've had such a fantastic morning on our Nursery and Reception visit to the Pot Place and Abbott Lodge. We have been learning about 'Growing and Changing' so it has really helped us to see how plants and animals grow. We ended the day enjoying a delicious Jersey ice cream 🍨
Great fun today at Skelton School when we all dressed in red to celebrate Red Nose Day. We have raised over £160 for Comic Relief and had a lovely time eating scrummy cakes!! 🍰
What an amazing day we have had!! We started our day at Jorvik revisiting our study of the Vikings before heading to York's Chocolate Story to learn all about the history of chocolate. We ended our day making edible wallpaper in the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory workshop. We have also eaten and made lots of chocolate along the way!
We've had a totally awesome morning - we just LOVE Boogie Bounce and it is always a pleasure to welcome Sarah to Skelton School!!
Having a great afternoon of sport at the Eden Area final of the Quicksticks Tournament. So far we have won one, drawn one and lost one and are now in the semi-finals! We have played really well as a team and are having a great time 😃 thanks as always to Debbie and Julie of the Eden Valley Sports Partnership
We've had an amazing afternoon at the Eden Netball Final today. We played five matches in total, winning four and drawing one against our old friends and rivals, Kirkby Stephen. We were delighted to share the winner's podium with them. Thanks as always to Debbie and Julie from the Eden Valley Sports Partnership for a great afternoon of sport 😊
Happy World Book Day everyone!
