As part of our 'Gold' package with the Eden Valley Sports Partnership, we have been allocated a session of badminton coaching sessions which are taking place this half term at Skelton Village Hall with badminton coach, Ben. The Year 5/6 children are really enjoying these sessions and are learning new skills each week.
Thank you to all of those who came to the Skelton Festival of Puddings yesterday - what an amazing array of cakes and puddings there were - many congratulations to all of the winners!
Over the last two weeks, our Year 1/2 Gymnastics team have taken part in two rounds of the Key Steps Gymnastics competition and they have won both of these! They have now qualified to take part in the Cumbria County Final of this competition which takes place in Penrith later this month - many congratulations to these six children who have worked so hard, and good luck in the final!!
This week, the Life Education Bus made its annual visit to Skelton School. Children in all four classes took part in sessions on board focussing on personal, social and health education and were very excited to also meet Harold the Giraffe!!
We love our Welly Wednesday sessions with Miss Dobinson and today was especially exciting because we were looking for all of the Spring flowers in our school grounds. We had lots of fun looking for daffodils and snowdrops, and the sun even came out to say “hello” too!!
