On the last day of the Spring term, our Year 2 gymnastics team took part in the Cumbria Games County Final of the Key Steps Gymnastics Competition. They were representing Eden and were competing against the top teams from Copeland, Allerdale, Barrow, Carlisle and South Lakes. They finished a very creditable 4th and, most importantly, had an amazing experience. We are all very proud of them.
Following their success in the Penrith Area Gymnastics Key Steps Festival, our team of Year 2 gymnasts took part in the Eden Area final - again, they all performed brilliantly well and were delighted to finish in FIRST place!! Congratulations to all of them - the team will now be representing the Eden area at the Cumbria Games Gymnastics Final on the last day of term.
Our craft nights at After School Club are always very popular and this year's Easter Craft session was no exception. The children made Easter cards, grass heads in decorated plant pots and, everybody's favourite, a huge pink Easter bonnet!!!
Our Year 3/4 hockey team had a great day at the Penrith Area Quicksticks tournament - they played brilliantly and finished third in their group - well done!!
Two teams of gymnasts headed to Penrith Leisure Centre in mid-March to take part in the Key Steps Gymnastics Festival. Both teams have been practicing at school and at home and had worked very hard at perfecting their routines. The Year 3/4 team came an amazing second in their category whilst the Year 1/2 team gained a fantastic FIRST place. The Year 1/2 team have now progressed to the Eden Area Final which will take place later this month.
