What an amazing time we have had at St John's in the Vale. We had wonderful weather and loved being outdoors almost all of the time - we did orienteering, nature activities, games in the woods, rounders and lots more too. At bedtime, we enjoyed our sing-song followed by hot chocolate and chocolate cake. On our second day, we walked up High Rigg; it was very steep to start with but we had amazing views from the top so it was all worth it.
At the start of Wimbledon fortnight, we start our own Skelton Tennis Tournament too! With some great performances to rival those we see on Centre Court, we can safely say that we have some budding tennis superstars in our midst. Both the Y3/4 and Y5/6 tournaments were hotly contested and some great skills and sportsmanship was on display. Well done to you all.
It's always a pleasure to welcome Sarah from Beyond Fitness with Sarah to Skelton School. We have so much fun on the Boogie Bounce trampolines and can't wait to see her again in the Autumn term 😊
We had a great time earlier this week at the Year 5 Art and Science Day at Ullswater Community College. Thank you to everyone at UCC who made us so welcome 😊
We've had a great day at the KS1 Multi-skills Festival at Penrith Leisure Centre. We've done lots of throwing, catching, running and jumping. We did so well that we came home with LOADS of stickers!! Thank you to the Eden Valley Sports Partnership for inviting us 😊
