Gallery - July 2021

The Year 5 and 6 children have thoroughly enjoyed their three visits to Bloomfield Woods this term as part of their John Muir Award. They have created natural mud sculptures, built and decorated dens and completed scientific tree and bug surveys. A huge thank you to local artist, Mark Gibbs, for joining us and sharing his expert guidance in designing and building animal sculptures! This afternoon, after sharing their experiences with the rest of the school at the Stars Assembly, the children were presented with their certificates!

Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside....we are have had a lovely day in Silloth learning all about seaside holidays in the Victorian times. All that sea air made us all very hungry - we really enjoyed our fish and chips! After lunch, we played games on Silloth Green before tucking in to ice creams. We then returned home, tired and happy!!

With the Tokyo Olympic Games looming this summer, we have been getting in the mood for it at After School Club tonight. The children have taken part in a variety of track and field events including javelin, long jump, speed bounce, sprints, potato races and obstacle races. Everyone went home with 'well done' stickers and huge smiles and some even went home with medals. Well done everyone!

The Nursery and Reception children have had an amazing morning today for our last Forest School session of the year. We have made log dogs, toasted cinnamon apples, played games, built dens, made masks and crowns and when we were all exhausted, we had some chill out time in the hammocks! Thank you, as always, Branch Out - all of our classes have had a great time with you over these last two terms. We can't wait to welcome you back soon!
