What an amazing afternoon we have had at the Eden Area Key Steps Gymnastics Festival. We are so proud of both of our teams who both came first in their categories against some very strong competition! Well done children - you are all totally awesome - Cumbria County Final, here we come!! Thank you as always to our wonderful Eden Valley Sports Partnership for organising such an amazing event ❤️
This half term, our topic in the Nursery and Reception class is Growing and Changing. We were so excited to welcome Rob and Helen Wilson to school this morning to show us their newborn cows and lambs.
Today we have welcomed Emma from the Eden Valley Sports Partnership to Skelton to carry out the Level 1 Bikeability course with our Year 4 children. We have had a great afternoon and learnt lots of new skills!
We have been busy making marmalade at our After School Club as we are once again entering the World's Original Marmalade Awards at Dalemain Mansion & Historic Gardens. This year's recipe includes Seville oranges, mango and pineapple and we have called it Skelton's Tropical Surprise - we made a big batch so have sent off one jar to the competition and we are selling all the other jars for £5 each in aid of Hospice at Home. If you would like to buy a jar, please see Mrs Holme in the school office. Thank you to Mr Holme for helping us make our lovely marmalade 🍊🍍🥭
We have had an amazing afternoon at the Penrith Area Quicksticks Tournament. We have played brilliantly as a team. We won every single match and have qualified to play in the Eden Area Finals at Kirkby Stephen in March. Didn't we do well 😊👍 thanks as always to our wonderful Eden Valley Sports Partnership for organising the event 😊
We enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year in school last week - the Year 5/6 children finished their wonderful Chinese Dragons, we had Chinese food and made lanterns at After School Club and Tullie House visited us for a special assembly. What a great week!
