It's a chilly day today for our Forest School session with Helen and Hayley from Branch Out so it's a good job that we have the campfire to keep us warm! This morning, we have been finding shades and shapes of green to make our lovely sticky postcards, making flower fairies and foraging in our woodland area to find tasty ingredients for our pancakes. Thank you Helen and Hayley, we are having a great time!
It's always great to welcome Fiona and Emma back to Skelton every year to teach Bikeability to our Year 4 and 5 children. Today has been Level 1 training on the playground; tomorrow the Year 5 children will be out on the roads! Thank you to Julie of the Eden Valley Sports Partnership for arranging this for us!
We are making the most of the wonderful Spring weather this week. The Nursery and Reception children had a great time in our Growing Garden during their Welly Wednesday session, the Year 3/4 children had so much fun on the field during their Forest School session while the Year 1 and 2 children were very busy clearing and tidying our Wildlife Garden - a busy day was had by all 🌞
This half term in the Nursery and Reception class, we are learning all about Fairy Tales - we love the story of 'The Gingerbread Man', so this week we have made our own gingerbread men - they were delicious!
What a lovely evening for gymnastics practice on the field!
