Every year, the Skelton Sevens inter-school football and netball tournament takes place at Plumpton and Skelton between 10 local schools. Both of our teams played incredibly well - our footballers only narrowly missed a place in the final having won two of their group matches, whilst the netball team won all of their heat matches, reaching the final. Again, they gave a fanstastic effort in the final, overcoming their opponents 8-0 thereby raising the Skelton Sevens trophy for the fifth year in a row. Well done to everybody that took part!
At the end of April, a team of Year 5/6 children took part in the Eden Orienteering competition. This involved taking part in two runs, going as fast as they could whilst following a map accurately to visit all control points required in the right order. They had a great time and all performed very well. Well done all!!
It is always a pleasure to take part in the Hunter Hall Infant Cross Country competition. It is a lovely event that is always enjoyed by the children taking part, and this year was no exception. Sixteen children from Key Stage 1 took part, all of whom did their absolute best and we are very proud of them all. We were all very excited when Max went up to collect his medal for finishing in a fantastic third place in the boys' race.
