We've had lots of fun at After School Club this half term. As well as netball and gymnastics clubs, we've also enjoyed our Zumba sessions with Nicola and Hallowe'en Bingo too.

Netball winners! - two teams of children from the Year 5 and 6 class took part in the Penrith Area netball tournament at QEGS. The red team finished second in their group and progressed to the semi-finals. The blue team won their group so also were through to the semi-finals only to discover their opponents were the red team!! Unfortunately there could only be one winner of this match, which was eventually the blue team. They now progress to play in the Eden Area final at Kirkby Stephen in March.

The children of Skelton School held their Harvest Coffee Morning at Skelton Village Hall. The hall was packed with parents, grandparents and friends of the school, all of whom were entertained by songs and poetry performed by the children in all classes. Refreshments were served and Fairtrade items and delicious cakes were available to buy. A lovely time was had by all and all funds raised are being sent to Denis Morley School in Tanzania.

The Year 5 and 6 children visited Kendal in early October - the first port of call was Pizza Express where they all became experts at making pizzas then used their creative writing skills to entice customers into their own imaginery restaurant. Later in the day (after eating our delicious pizzas!), we went to the Abbot Hall Art Gallery to learn about life in the Tudor times.
